At Westminster, we believe that the person and work of Jesus Christ is the foundation and goal of every aspect of life! Through his life, death on a cross, and resurrection, we receive the love of God, a love which satisfies our soul's deepest longings. Through the person and work of Jesus Christ, we gain access to all of the promises of God: his promises of presence, protection, and provision. And through Jesus Christ, we have hope: hope in this life and hope for the life to come. Since Jesus Christ is the foundation and goal of life, at Westminster we want to be a Christ-centered community. For us, this means that the person and work of Jesus Christ is central to who we are, to how we do church, and to how we do life. It's also why we seek to share this good news about Jesus. Since he alone grants us access to the soul-satisfying love of God, we want everyone to know the peace and hope which comes through him. We want to be a Christ-centered community that advances the gospel.

Our Purpose

Westminster Presbyterian Church seeks to be a Christ-centered community that advances the gospel through worshiping joyfully, making disciples, and serving others.

Our values

Truth

We believe that God reveals what is true regarding all things through His creation and particularly through His word, the Holy Scripture. Since scripture is the ultimate expression of truth, we value the expositional preaching and teaching of God’s word.

Dependence

We believe that God calls us to be totally dependent on him. We value the daily submission of our wills and lives to the control of the Holy Spirit dwelling within us, and we value both the loving support and admonishment of our brothers and sisters.

Transformation

We believe that the result of utter dependence on God is the transformation of our lives through the Gospel. We value the pursuit and acknowledgement of that transformation in our lives and the transformation of others and of our community through the life-changing power of the Gospel.

Love

We believe that the mark of transformed lives is the expression of Christ’s love through us to one another and to those around us. We value the expression of Godly love through truthful, gracious, caring, and sacrificial acts of affection, affirmation, and service.

Unity

We believe that the Gospel which gives us peace with God also calls us to be at peace with one another. We value the pursuit of peace and unity in all elements of our lives together.

Joy

We believe that the joy of the Lord is the strength of his people. We value learning to be content, rejoicing with genuine joy, whether in times of suffering and grief or in times of abundance and celebration.
